I for one have not quite grasped how we are in JUNE already!
Perhaps it's 3/4 of the kids in school, and I am finding that with each one I send out the door, somehow I get more homework...how does that happen? Buried in school work and stink bug reports I haven't noticed that there are only nine days left of this year!! It's hard to believe we will be sending three off to school next year. My oldest has reached the age I can remember having my first crush (and she's been told she can't date until she's 25).
May has left me in a daze...or haze. I feel somewhat bogged by the fog. This week is a challenge single parenting ~ stay tuned as that's always when everything including the kitchen sink goes AWOL the moment Luke steps on the plane.
Later in the week I hope to post before and after pictures {if I am still alive} of our well-house transformation. Baby Steps. If I can muster up the energy to paint a well-house, maybe I can paint our house. No guarantees. Somehow I remember in my "don't remember this" file swearing up and down that I would never paint another house again...but that might have been while bending over the rooftop painting the eaves approx. 7 months pregnant. I think I will put that back in the "don't remember this" file now.
Since my mind is mush and we're only on Day 1 of running solo...I think I am just going to post a May Days Daze blitz {fair warning}...and let pics speak for themselves.

I'm always struck with how theraputic putting my hands in dirt each Spring is. We tease that we got bit by the "bug" of growing trees and plants...and now we can't pass up a Nursery Newsprint Mailer esp if they have the scientific names, yes, we get that specific!! with some of our favorites.
While I might be in a daze at how fast life feels like it's taking me right now... I am reminded daily that God is good. All the time. His mercies are new every morning. I am so grateful for that. And when things are rough...He sends the rain. Cold. Crisp. Refreshing. There is something about the rain that washes everything...and at the end of a good rain as it starts to let up, the birds come out of nowhere..and the sun peeks out once again, and somewhere in the distance there's a rainbow...God has given Earth it's much needed drink of water. And for that I am thankful. Metaphorically speaking He sends me rain every day, the chance to clean everything off again after the dirt and sin has crowded it's way back in somewhere somehow. A chance to rediscover the flowers and pull out the {toxic}weeds in my life. It's up to me to look forward to {with faith} the letting up and to anticipate {with grace} the rainbow. He is my much needed, much satisfying drink of water.
John 7:37-39
37 It
was the last and most important day of the Feast. Jesus stood up and
spoke in a loud voice. He said, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me
and drink. 38 Does anyone believe in me? Then, just as Scripture says, streams of living water will flow from inside him.”
39 When
he said this, he meant the Holy Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus
would receive the Spirit later. Up to that time, the Spirit had not been
given. This was because Jesus had not yet received glory.
