We are back at it already with the start of school! YAY! This summer was absolutely packed!!! to the hilt with activities and adventures for us, so settling back into a routine sounds a bit more peaceful and has gotten us off to a great start to our beautiful fall around here! Summer - you were hot and full of fun...lots of hikes and family ...lots of new towns, and new adventures and plenty of variety...lots of seeing God's beautiful creation. However, Fall ..we welcome you with open arms and cooler nights on the patio, and lots of colors changing on the horizon.
Oh..and {of course} here's the school line up:
Asher is in K!
Andrew...2nd grade
Jordan 5th
Jalen - MIDDLE SCHOOL WHAT!?!?!?! 7th
I get asked if I am in denial that all my kids are in school? To some degree..yes! It happened so fast. However if you are doing the stay at home mom thing, one foot in front of the other (24/7) with what God is asking you to teach your children while they are in your care, after 12 years...it can also seem some days like it's about time :) We have completed 9 years of diapers, 4 potty training lessons, and copious amounts of at home play time & activities in these last 12 years. While some days were pure bliss and it felt like I had the best job on earth, other days it was harder then I could have ever dreamed. God is in it all, but motherhood truly is an adventure! A journey that I'm still on. And while I miss some things about those simple baby-toddler days, with simple teachings, and big milestones...it's the Lord's timing that He has brought me to a completely different phase of the journey. I realize that this current phase too ...is just a phase...and quickly they will be on their own out in the Big World. So while Luke and I are challenged by the calling, we're committed to being parents that will humbly do our best to teach our kids how to equip themselves by depending on God's Word, and strength for living out His calling in their lives.
Here's to the 2015-2016 School year!
