Anytime someone makes a mess in the kitchen...it's like it wreaks havoc on your moment! Well if that were the case...I guess Luke's been wreaking havoc all winter ;) Last April, we started taking off all the cupboard doors to paint them in the hopes a little new and fresh paint would silence our remodel allurement. Ha!
{Fully aware of how these things go....} One thing led to another, and anyhow...here we are in Jan. and still chipping away at it. We're in a stall at the moment. One of those uncontrolled...we'd landed here...now what? type of stalls. This far into it...and making decisions for the
long haul...we thought we might as well bury the overhead power lines (and get rid of the unsightly power pole in my front yard), because the main electrical masthead runs right down one of the main kitchen walls we took out (yup, as in the wall is gone...but the nice wires stare at us all day long now ;).
Remember this post? Our simple solution, and next step, was to hire an electrician for a switch of service and run the conduit, and make the wires go bye bye!! Hmmm... we've been at this step {and on our 6th electrician} since before Thanksgiving! A lot has to do with the time of year, and weather...and we've also discovered our
lovely pole has the most outdated electrical in all of Spokane County....
Great! What
I wanted to hear was we've been saving our pennies for a kitchen remodel,
not a complete electrical overhaul.
We obviously are still a ways out...but enjoy some pics of our process so far:
