So Luke comes home tomorrow.
Yay! Actually that is 2012's biggest understatement. However I won't even try to put into words how I feel...as I'd be here all day trying to think of all the emotions that are coming together. 2 weeks is I believe the longest time we've ever been apart...even while dating...and with 4 young children it added a level of respect for just how much he does around this house. He's a Christian husband who loves his family and works very hard to provide for us. We are excited! And just to re-cap for my own memory...I listed some of our moments (-dad) that we did overcome.
- Jalen's friend-birthday party (manicures, pedicures and pizza!)
- Jordan's 4 teeth being pulled.
- Being locked out of the house...and almost eaten alive by mosquitoes :)
- Biting flies and 10 Tons of rain that virtually restricted all our days indoors.
- Asher losing my keys inside the house. (Thank goodness for a spare van key and a key pad for garage entry well except when the power went out ;)
- One of the biggest thunder and lightening storms that made windows rattle and our power go out...not once but twice while Luke was away.
- Losing our phone lines all weekend until Qwest could fix them..good thing we iChat.
- Jalen's official birthday meal: Breakfast at McDonald's.
- Asher eating Gak.
- Jalen's end of the year (?!?!?!?!) Science Fair.
- Being diagnosed with extremely low Vitamin D levels contributing to my exhaustion (what...you mean it's not just that dad's missing and I am losing my mind...phew!!!)
- Asher's tantrum at Sam's grad party.
- Asher's bloody lip and tantrum at Hil's bridal shower.
- Asher's blow-out at the Dr. office (-shoes because he threw them out the window) (-shorts because he dumped his whole water cup on them) (and covered in watermelon left to right!) proceeded by a tantrum at the office, laundry mat, Target, and grandma's house! (I don't think I am leaving the house with him until he's 3).
- The T.V. remote getting un-programmed leaving no ability to shut it off, and not way to move the console to do it manually. Thank goodness for
Godthe power outage that shut the TV off. - Roses being delivered from dad to the doorstep ;)
